CalcForest (accessible at calcforest.com) provides free financial calculators that run entirely in your web browser. We built these tools with a simple philosophy: your money matters are yours alone. This privacy policy explains what data we collect (very little) and what happens with it (not much).

Your Financial Data Stays on Your Device

Every calculation you perform on CalcForest happens locally in your browser. When you enter mortgage amounts, interest rates, salary figures, investment projections, or any other numbers into our calculators, that data is processed by JavaScript running on your device. Nothing is transmitted to our servers or any third-party service.

We do not have servers that receive, store, or process your financial inputs. There is no database on our end containing your mortgage details, retirement projections, or tax estimates. The calculation logic is delivered to your browser when you load the page, and from that point forward, everything stays local.

Local Storage and Preferences

CalcForest uses your browser's localStorage to remember certain preferences and improve your experience between visits. This includes:

All of this data lives exclusively in your browser. We cannot access it. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings, and it will be gone permanently. No backups exist on our side.

Shareable Links

Some of our calculators offer a "share" feature that encodes your current inputs into the URL hash (the part after the # symbol). This allows you to share a specific calculation with someone by sending them a link. Because the data is embedded in the URL fragment, it is not sent to our server when the link is loaded -- your browser handles it directly. However, be mindful that anyone with the link can see the values encoded in it.

No Personal Data Collection

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. There are no sign-up forms, login screens, or profile pages on CalcForest. You can use every tool on the site without telling us who you are.

Cookies and Tracking

CalcForest does not set any first-party tracking cookies. We do not use analytics platforms like Google Analytics, and we do not run pixel trackers or fingerprinting scripts.

We may display advertisements through Google AdSense to support the ongoing development of our free tools. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browsing activity across different websites. You can manage your ad personalization preferences through Google's Ad Settings page. Third-Party Services

Apart from potential ad services, CalcForest loads web fonts from Google Fonts. Google may collect limited technical data (such as your IP address) when these fonts are requested. No other third-party services receive data from your use of our tools.

Data Security

Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no centralized database that could be breached. Your calculation data never leaves your device. The site is served over HTTPS, ensuring that the pages you load are delivered securely.

Children's Privacy

CalcForest does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, this applies equally to users of all ages.
